Fresh Look on Fitness: Balancing Body and Nourishment

Fitness means different things to different people. The one thing no one can deny is that the state of being healthy has benefits for everyone. Whether you are veteran at staying fit or just getting started, we hope this month inspires you to find an outlet that will produce exactly what you hope to obtain from it.
We believe fitness is a combination of both physical fitness and balanced nutrition. Fitness is not athleticism. Fitness is a state of health that, combined with good nutrition, leads one to live a healthy, productive, maximized lifestyle.
As a couple, we have always enjoyed mutually working out. It is something that has never changed between both of us. It may look different now with children and life responsibilities, but nevertheless, it is something that is not neglected between us both. We do it for different reasons. While one pushes the limits and sets new goals all the time, the other enjoys a simple routine that keeps her in shape and energized for long days with kids. No matter what it looks like, the key to success is that we have found routines that work for us and that keep us working out on a consistent basis over so many seasons of life.
Fitness happens in the kitchen too. It is so important to shop intentionally for groceries, to meal plan, to come up with options that are simple yet nutritious. We have both discovered that it is almost impossible to keep up a lifestyle that is too fancy with our foods. We have found dishes that have worked for us, and they are on a constant repeat in our home. We are fortunate to have a family with no food allergens, so our options are plentiful. However, it is still possible to keep a balanced diet if you are limited in what you can tolerate.
This month, we will be sharing both our workout routines and menus for eating healthy. We will provide resources for different diet restrictions to the best of our knowledge and share with you a plethora of workout routines and options that we have done over the years. Here’s a fun fact about us: neither of us have had a gym membership since 2018.
In a time in life when money is tight, we will show you how to get fit for just the cost of a good pair of sneakers. We are not experts by no means, just an average couple who is hoping for every reader to get excited about getting in control of their health and wellness. Fitness is an incredible tool that is guaranteed to enhance one’s mental and physical health. It is a perfect time in life to take control of your life and to live for more than just fitting into a suit for an event or bathing suit season. Consistency and intentional behavioral changes can produce amazing, lasting results.
